A little advice for people using Stewart's paint. My cowling was painted for 3 weeks but it had been cold and damp. I had to put the fuse outside so I covered it with a tarp because of rain. 2 days later, the top of the nose bowl and parts of the cowl where the tarp had rested were blistered. I rang Stewart's to see how best to remove the paint and start again. They said not to worry as the blisters will slowly disappear and I will never know. Hard to believe if you saw how bad it was. But it is fine now. So give your paint along tome to cure before exposing it to a moist environment. Other than that, a great finish.

Colin,

Thank you for the paint blister update.
Most of the painted aircraft that I have seen using the Stewart Systems have all looked great. For the most part others that havn't turned out all that well I have found is mainly user error or environment issues (dust, dirt, pollens and body oils) will cause many issues and has nothing to do with the paints.
