51% rule 1 Year, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
I'm getting close to inspection. With the new rules am I going to have any trouble proving this will qualify for 51% to the DAR?

As long as you can provide prof that you did the work your self (Photos of you working on the aircraft) and can answer a few questions that the inspector will ask, you should be golden!

I don't think you realise the problem here. If you read the new rules closely it state that you have to do a certain amount of work on each assembly. I think the wrong DAR or FISDO might look at it as not 51% compliant because so much of the wing is prefabricated. If you get the wrong guy inspecting one of these and it is deemed not compliant now I have a big expensive paperweight in the hangar. I want to know ahead of time that this will pass under the new rules. And yes I have done 100% of the work and this is the third airplane I have done. I don't want any surprises. I don't want to hear that I SHOULD be golden and I don't think that's the answer that someone who has spent $50,000 with you needs to hear. Don

I talked to Wayne and Jeff last week. They have a spread sheet that defines all the percentages of each assembly. Wayne will put it up on the manual soon.
