You need to check the tubing behind the firewall first. Mine came with the tubing between the engine mount bushings in the form of an X. With this configuration it is impossible to fit a governor to the engine thus eliminating the possibility of a constant speed prop. A Cub is a slow plane anyway and a constant speed will not make a great deal of difference. Anything to keep the weight down in the nose will make a tremendous improvement in performance. I researched many different props both certified and not, with different diameters and pitches. I finally decided to order the Whirl Wind 200G ground adjustable which Randy Goza (5 Rivers) speaks of in the post below this one. The 77" diameter will give lots of ground clearance. I would have preferred more diameter but the ground adjustable option is a big plus. It will enable me to try many different pitches at will without having to try many different props. It is also light weight carbon fiber, about 6 pounds less than a fixed pitch aluminum McCauley.

My new Whirl Wind 200G prop just arrived. It is beautiful. If my Cub performs half a good as this prop looks, it will be the best performing Cub in the neighborhood.
