Wondering what the best engine would be for the SQ4 at 2500 LB gross weight. I want to put it on amphibs eventually. Would also like to use auto gas if possible. Originally looked at the IO375 but worried about the takeoff performance at the higher gross weights and the higher compression rules out auto gas. What weighs more IO470 or io520? ALso, What's the optimum prop diameter for an SQ? I welcome any input.
